Plein Air Event at Marcellus Park

OAG members and guests enjoyed a sunny afternoon of painting en plein air. Local artist Tom Hussey demonstrated his approach to painting in this beautiful outdoor setting and guided members through their art practice. He showed members how he creates a pencil sketch to decide on the placement of the subject to develop a focal point, then demonstrated his approach to adding color with watercolor paints. Members found their favorite view of the park and created their own work filled with light and shadows. Enjoy the slideshow!
