Jerry Russell - Artist and Illustrator

On November 1, 2022 local artist and illustrator, Jerry Russell presented to OAG members. Jerry discussed his long career featuring his book and magazine illustrations, beer can label designs, and audio book covers. He has worked with various companies, Hot House Brewing, Adirondack Explorer and even local author Bruce Coville. Jerry shared his process from research to sketch, drafts, revisions and final product. OAG members enjoyed learning about his use of both traditional and digital processes. Members practiced using Procreate on the iPad Pro. Jerry is now retired, enjoys plein-air painting events and is well respected in the local art community.
